Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using IELTS Writing Checker ("ieltsaiwriting.com", the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service provides

The Service provides AI-generated feedback, estimated band scores, and practice tools for IELTS Writing (Task 1 and Task 2) and IELTS Speaking preparation. Important: the Service is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of IELTS, British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English. Scores and feedback produced by the Service are estimates generated by an AI model and are not official IELTS scores and cannot be used as such.

3. Accounts

You may use limited features without an account. Signing in with Google (via our authentication provider, Supabase) creates an account linked to your Google profile name and email address. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. You may stop using the Service at any time; you can also request deletion of your data by emailing us.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid plans (Starter, Pro) are billed on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Creem. Prices are shown at checkout before you pay.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel anytime through the customer portal linked on your Account page; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: if you cancel within 7 days of a charge and have used fewer than 5 essay checks in that billing period, we will refund the charge in full. Email dogkyan@gmail.com to request a refund.

5. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service, including anything you submit to our AI writing and speaking feedback tools, must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits, among other things, unlawful, harassing, and sexually explicit (NSFW) content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate it.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the essays, recordings, and other materials you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process and store that content for the sole purpose of providing the Service (grading, scoring, progress tracking, and calibration of our AI models, as described in the Privacy Policy). We do not sell your content.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI feedback may contain errors or inaccuracies and should be used as one study input alongside qualified teachers and official IELTS materials. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any exam outcomes, decisions, or losses arising from use of AI-generated feedback.
